Summer Workshops

The New Voice Project is thrilled to announce its inaugural summer professional workshops. Two one-week intensive workshops will be offered in 2009. This year’s workshops will be taught by Tony-award winning actor Denis O’Hare, along with Nova Thomas and Cris Frisco. The focus of the work will be the synthesis of character life, music, and voice for the needs of performing and auditioning. A director from a major casting office will also be joining our team for an important master class, where every participant will have the chance to perform. These intensives will feature daily classes with all three of the teaching-artists, PLUS afternoon workshops that focus on individual vocal, musical, and auditioning needs. The workshops promise to offer ground-breaking techniques and methods for performing and auditioning for music theater.

Class size will be kept very small so that there can be maximum individual attention. Therefore, it is IMPERATIVE that you register immediately!! Space will be very limited. Please email info@newvoiceproject.org for a registration form and instructions. The 2009 Summer Workshops will run….

2pm-4pm Musical and Vocal Work with Nova and Cris

Wednesday
10am-1pm Character Work in Song with Denis, Nova, and Cris
2pm-4pm Musical and Vocal Work with Nova and Cris

Thursday
10am-1pm Character Work in Song with Denis, Nova, and Cris
2pm-4pm Auditioning Workshop

Friday
10am-2pm Concluding work with Denis, Nova, and Cris
