the 2009 - 10 season Summer Music Theater Workshops June 29th-July 3rd August 17th-August 24th New York, NY The inaugural season of New Voice Project Summer Workshops feature Tony-award winning actor Denis O’Hare as a guest teaching artist. These highly selective one-week intensive workshops feature advanced work in the synthesis of character life, voice, and music. The NVP workshops are co-taught by Nova Thomas, Cris Frisco, and a representative from the casting industry. Evenings of New Music Theater Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 Dates TBA New York, NY A series of cabaret evenings bringing together new composers’ voices with emerging music theater performers. The Ariadne Project Spring 2010 Dates and Venues TBA Inspired by the music of Monteverdi, Strauss, and Haydn, and the paintings of de Chirico, we present a multi-media reflection on the myth of Ariadne. Visual and performing artists - singers, musicians, dancers, photographers – join to create a dynamic exploration on both historic and contemporary representations of the woman left behind. Summer Music Theater Workshops Summer 2010 – Dates TBA New York, NY and Bucks County, PA The second season of the NVP Summer Workshops continue in NYC and branch out to historic Bucks County, PA. These week-long intensives feature master teaching artists, who are active in the highest levels of the professional world.
